The academic background comprises a B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering from Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi, an M.Tech. in Production Technology from Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana, Punjab, and a Ph.D. from SLIET Longowal, Punjab. The area of expertise encompasses metal casting, non-ferrous alloy development, metal matrix composites, foundry technology, and advanced manufacturing processes, with extensive experience in the development and characterization of engineering materials for industrial applications.

Experience

Joined Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET), Longowal, Punjab, as a Lecturer on 22 August 1997 and is currently serving as an Associate Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Possesses nearly 30 years of extensive experience in teaching, research, academic administration, student mentoring, and curriculum development, with significant contributions in the fields of metal casting, alloy development, composite materials, foundry engineering, and advanced manufacturing technologies.
Has played a pivotal role in the establishment and development of advanced laboratory facilities, including the Advanced Casting Laboratory, Alloy Design and Development Laboratory, and Student Innovation Laboratory. Additionally, has served as Laboratory In-charge of the Strength of Materials Laboratory and has actively contributed to enhancing laboratory infrastructure, research capabilities, and hands-on learning opportunities for undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students.
